Thanks a lot for the faves :boing: Have you been round the Dinorwic slate quarry? It's a pretty amazing place to be.

I live literally minutes down the road. I'm just wondering why I haven't been up there with the camera more. It really is a atmospheric place. Can't help but imagine what it was like when things were in full swing. I don't know if you ventured toward the top but there is a kind of old canteen type building with the workman's boots still lined up and jackets on the pegs. Really eerie place. I did take some photos a couple of years ago, I'll see if I can dig them out.

Really! I knew you lived in North Wales but not so close to Dinorwic. I never got to the upper levels because i didn't know the route up there and i run out time. I spent a whole day up there and only saw a tiny part of the whole area but i am going to go again some day and try to get to the upper levels. I have seen pictures from up there and i was kicking myself after i saw what was there. I went to the slate museum aswell which gives you a very good idea of what the quarrymen went through and how little they were rewarded. Thanks again for all the faves :D
